Keeping your child safe online: A Guide for Parents & Carers

As a caring Catholic community, the support of each individual is our highest priority. St Anne’s aims to create and maintain a safe learning environment where all children feel safe, happy, secure and valued and know they will be listened to and taken seriously. We are here to serve your children. Our school is committed to the principles of the Every Child Matters Agenda and implements policies, practices and procedures which promote safeguarding and well-being.

The internet can be an inspiring and positive place which holds a wealth of resources to enable young people to connect, communicate and be creative in a variety of different ways. It is always changing and being able to keep up to date with your child’s use of technology can be a challenge. You may feel that your child has better technical skills that you do, however they still need advice, guidance and protection in the appropriate use of the internet, mobile phones and other devices. We ask that you read and agree to our Acceptable Use Policy for students and contact us should you have any queries or concerns about your child using IT at school.
