Pastoral

Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbour. (Corinthians 10:24)

At St Anne's we have a child-centred approach to everything we do, this means we will at all times consider what is in the best interest of all the children we teach. We recognise that safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with our students, their families and their carers has a role to play in safeguarding them. This means recognising concerning behaviour, sharing information quickly with the relevant people in an appropriate way and taking prompt action where necessary.

Staff are trained to use the 4Rs to respond to any safeguarding concerns.

It is important to us that we educate our students in how to safeguard themselves and others around them. This is delivered explicitly through regular assemblies and the PHSE curriculum as well as implicitly through their subject lessons. Safeguarding should not be compartmentalised; it is something which permeates everything we do here at St Anne’s.
