Charity at St Anne's
Charity is celebrated and exhibited in many different ways at St Anne's. Not only does the school encourage everyday acts of kindness and the true embodiment of our 'Sacred Values' in everything we do. Our 'Caritas Ambassadors' are a group within the school who help raise valuable awareness and funds for several, local, national and international charities. Over the last 2 years the school has worked with Mary's Meals, The Wellspring, Manchester Refugee Network, 52 Lives and the SickleCell Society for Black History Month. During our 2022 Lenten Appeal the school raised £1700 for Mary's Meals, enough to feed over 100 children for a year.
Fundraising activities organised and by the Caritas Ambassadors including cake sales, Easter egg raffles, sponsorship activities, presenting in assemblies, Form Time competitions and much more. Every year we work with The Wellspring in Stockport to collect much needed donations used to benefit the homeless in our local community. St Anne's prides itself on empowering students to use their time, efforts and energy to serve those around us.
